Message+
Requires. Account Management with View to see the add-on. Account Management with Modify is required to enable or disable it.
Message+ adds native SMS text messaging to SecurityTrax. Email remains available, but Message+ gives your team a faster channel for appointment reminders, customer updates, and short operational messages.
Why you want it
- Customers are more likely to see a text than an email when an appointment is coming up.
- Your team can reduce phone-tag for quick confirmations and updates.
- SMS usage is billed per message, so cost follows actual usage.
Before you enable it
Message+ requires your company to have its own Twilio account. Have these values ready before enabling:
| Field | Required? | Type | Validation | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Account SID | Yes | Text | Required | Comes from Twilio. Usually starts with AC. |
| Auth Token | Yes | Text | Required | Comes from Twilio. Treated like a password. |
| From | Yes | Text | Must be an 11-digit phone number or a 34-character Twilio Messaging Service SID starting with MG |
This is the sending number or messaging service SecurityTrax uses. |
Enable Message+
- Go to Admin → Account Management → Add-ons.
- Find Message+.
- Click Enable.
- Enter Account SID, Auth Token, and From.
- Click Confirm.
SecurityTrax saves the Twilio settings and turns on Message+ for the company.
Disable Message+
- Go to Admin → Account Management → Add-ons.
- Find Message+.
- Click Disable.
- Click Confirm.
Warning. Disabling Message+ stops new SMS sending from SecurityTrax. It does not delete historical messages or your Twilio account.
