Payable+

Payable+ unlocks advanced payable calculations. Without Payable+, SecurityTrax still supports payroll roles, functions, levels, assignments, and fixed-amount payable rows. Payable+ adds the advanced pieces: lookup tables, field-based amounts, arithmetic expressions, notes templates, row-specific generation filters, and automatic generation tied to supported customer events.
Why you want it
- Commission plans rarely stay flat forever. Payable+ handles tiers, formulas, and data-driven payouts.
- A single payable can split money between reps, trainers, managers, partners, or specific users.
- Lookup tables let your rate sheets stay current without code changes.
- Automatic generation rules can attempt payables when supported customer events happen, such as a customer becoming installed, becoming funded, receiving or losing a specific tag, or saving a specific custom field.
Automatic generation events
Payable+ can automatically attempt a payable when a supported event happens on a customer record. The current supported events are:
| Event | What it means |
|---|---|
| Customer is installed | SecurityTrax attempts the payable when the customer changes to installed. |
| Customer is funded | SecurityTrax attempts the payable when the customer's funding status changes to paid in full. |
| Customer tag is applied | SecurityTrax attempts the payable only when one of the selected customer tags is applied. |
| Customer tag is removed | SecurityTrax attempts the payable only when one of the selected customer tags is removed. |
| Customer custom field is set | SecurityTrax attempts the payable when one of the selected customer custom fields is saved. A specific value can also be required. |
These events are independent. A payable rule can be set up to try on install, on funding, on selected tag changes, on selected custom field changes, or on more than one event. If multiple events are enabled, any matching event can attempt the payable.
Note. Attempting a payable does not guarantee one will be created. The rule can still require additional details, such as account type, location, partner, equipment, or other eligibility conditions. SecurityTrax also skips duplicate active payables for the same customer and payee.
Enable Payable+
- Go to Admin → Account Management → Add-ons.
- Find Payable+.
- Click Enable.
- Read the billing confirmation.
- Click Confirm.
Set up payable rules after enabling
Once Payable+ is on, users with Payroll access can configure payroll roles, functions, levels, examples, and Payable+ lookup tables from Admin → Payroll. Before changing a rule, gather:
- The event you want to pay on (sale closed, install completed, funding posted, etc.).
- Which user role or roles should be paid (sales rep, install tech, lead rep, manager).
- The math — flat amount, percentage, rate-sheet lookup, or arithmetic expression.
- Any eligibility rules (account type, location, partner, equipment used).
- Whether the payable should attempt automatically when the customer becomes installed, becomes funded, receives or loses a selected tag, or saves a selected custom field.
- The exact tag names or custom field names that should trigger the attempt, if tag or custom-field automation is needed.
- The effective date.
See Payroll Admin Overview for the role / function / level conceptual model so your request can be specific.
If your team asks SecurityTrax support to help configure payable rules, include the same details.
Disable Payable+
- Go to Admin → Account Management → Add-ons.
- Find Payable+.
- Click Disable.
- Click Confirm.
Warning. Disabling Payable+ does not delete existing payable rules, automatic generation event settings, or generated payables. Advanced rows and Payable+ automatic generation stop creating new payables until Payable+ is re-enabled. Contact SecurityTrax support before disabling so they can review what's affected.
