Funders

A funder is a financing partner who buys the rights to a customer's recurring contract up-front in exchange for a portion of the future revenue. SecurityTrax tracks every funder your company works with, the submission settings for each, and the catalog of reasons funders use when they adjust a payout (holdbacks, chargebacks, disputes).
Getting here
- From Admin → Catalogs, click Funders.

Funder edit form
| Field | Required? | Type | Validation | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Name | Yes | Text | 1–255 chars, unique | Displayed throughout SecurityTrax. |
| Status | Yes | Select | Active / Inactive | Inactive funders drop out of pickers on new customers. |
| Contact email | Optional | Text | Valid email | Where submissions and questions go. |
| Submission format | Optional | Select | One of the formats SecurityTrax supports (CSV, XML, API) | Drives the export format when you send contracts to the funder. |
| Default payout terms | Optional | Text | — | Internal reference to the agreement terms. |
| Minimum/maximum credit score | Optional | Number range | 0–850 | Helps SecurityTrax filter eligible customers when choosing a funder. |
Note. A Payment Details section (funder type, rate multiples, and holdback settings) appears below the funder edit form only if your company still calculates funded amounts directly on the customer record. If your company tracks funding through the Funding tab on each customer instead, this section is hidden because those calculation settings no longer apply.
Funder Reasons
From Admin → Catalogs → Funders → Reasons, manage the reason codes that accompany Funding Entries. Each reason is just a name plus an active flag, but consistent reasons make funding reports useful.
