Company Inventory Overview

Requires.

  • Enhanced Inventory enabled for your company, and
  • Inventory Management / Assignments permission anywhere.

A few tabs inside this section require extra access — see the tab table below.

Company Inventory is the home base for everyone who manages equipment across the whole company — inventory managers, dispatchers, warehouse leads, and admins. It pulls every operational inventory tool into one tab strip so you don't have to bounce between Admin pages to do day-to-day work.

If you're a field tech looking at the equipment on your truck, that's a different screen — see My Inventory.

Getting here

  • Click the Company Inventory icon (an archive box) in the top navigation bar. SecurityTrax only shows it for users who have the permission and the feature gate above.
  • Or navigate directly to https://portal.securitytrax.com/acme/company-inventory. Without the prerequisites you'll get a 403.

The page opens on the Dashboard tab by default.

A few terms before we dive in

  • Pending equipment — a catch-all name for paperwork that moves equipment: purchase orders, purchase requisitions, spillage reports, and RMAs are all pending-equipment records with different type values.
  • Recipient — whoever currently holds a stockable piece of equipment. Usually a technician or a location.
  • On hand — equipment physically in a recipient's possession right now.
  • On order — equipment that's been requested or ordered but hasn't been received and assigned yet.
  • Enhanced Inventory — the base inventory module. Has to be enabled at the company level before any of these tabs show up.
  • Inventory+ — the paid add-on that adds replenishment, equipment templates, and a few extra knobs. See the Inventory+ add-on page.

The tabs

Every page inside Company Inventory shares the same tab strip at the top. Some tabs only appear if your company has the right feature gate enabled.

If a tab you expect to see is missing, the gate above it isn't active for your company. Contact SecurityTrax support if you think that's wrong.

Workflow at a glance

  • Morning triage. Open the Dashboard and check the open-counts cards — anything in red or with a big number gets dealt with first.
  • Restocking a tech. Submit a Purchase Requisition or place a Purchase Order directly with a vendor; receive items in as they arrive.
  • Moving equipment around. Use Transfers to push stock between technicians or to a location.
  • Investigating a count problem. Check On Hand by recipient, then drill into the Inventory Ledger to see every movement that touched a record.
  • End-of-quarter reconciliation. Run a Physical Inventory audit, then close out any discrepancies through transfers, spillage, or RMAs.
