Accounting Overview

The Accounting area is the company-wide financial reporting hub — invoices across every customer, payments across every customer, funder payouts, Consumer Financing applications, commission payables, credit memos, refunds, and an aging view. Every sub-page is a cross-customer list with filters. If you want the financial view of a single customer, use their Accounting tab instead.

Getting here

  • Click the Accounting icon in the top navigation bar.
  • Or navigate directly to https://portal.securitytrax.com/{your-company}/accounting.

There's no dedicated landing page — just a redirect

Clicking Accounting in the top nav doesn't take you to a summary dashboard. Instead, SecurityTrax redirects you to the first sub-page your permissions allow, in this priority order:

  1. Invoices — if you have Invoices with View.
  2. Payments — otherwise, if you have Payments with View.
  3. Funding Entries — otherwise, if you have Funding with View.
  4. Payable Entries — otherwise, if you have Payables with View.

If you have none of those, SecurityTrax returns a 403 and the Accounting icon doesn't appear in the top nav in the first place.

Shared conventions across Accounting pages

Every sub-page works the same way on the basics:

  • Filter flyout. Click the filter icon (top-left) to open a flyout with sort, per-page, and page-specific filters. Submit to apply — filters don't run live.
  • Sort and per-page always appear first in the flyout and never count as "active filters."
  • Red-dot filter badge. The funnel icon shows a colored indicator when any real filter is active (date, status, location — not sort/per-page).
  • Location filtering is automatic. Each page scopes to the locations where you have the appropriate object permission — you never see entries for locations you can't view.
  • Filters persist across page loads via URL params and session. Navigate away and come back; your filter set is preserved.
  • Pagination appears on long lists. Use Per page in the filter flyout to show 10, 25, or 50 rows per page.
  • Sortable columns let you click the header (or pick from the Sort dropdown) to change ordering. Every column marked sortable supports ascending and descending.
