Equipment Catalog

Requires. Equipment with View for the list. Modify is required for create/edit. Works without enhanced inventory — basic equipment tracking is always on.

The master catalog of every equipment item your company stocks, sells, or installs — panels, sensors, keypads, cameras, accessories. Techs' personal inventory counts, customer-equipment records, purchase orders, and spillage entries all reference items in this catalog.

Getting here

  • From Admin, click Equipment.
  • Or go directly to https://portal.securitytrax.com/acme/admin/equipment.

The list

Shows every equipment item with its name, type, SKU, vendor, current company-wide on-hand count, and price fields. Filter by equipment type, vendor, or active status.

Import equipment

Route: admin.equipment.import.

Use Import when you need to add or update many equipment catalog rows from a spreadsheet instead of editing one item at a time. The import page accepts a structured file, validates the rows, and reports any rows that could not be imported.

Typical import workflow:

  1. Prepare the equipment spreadsheet using your current catalog naming, equipment types, vendors, costs, and prices.
  2. Open Admin → Equipment → Import.
  3. Upload the file.
  4. Review validation errors if SecurityTrax reports any failed rows.
  5. Correct the spreadsheet and re-upload only the rows that need another attempt.

Heads up. Import error downloads are helper files produced by the import workflow. They are not separate documentation pages in Help.
