Equipment Templates

Requires. Inventory+ and Inventory Management / Assignments with View. Creating templates requires Create. Saving or deleting existing templates requires Modify or Delete.

Equipment templates define the expected stock levels for a standard inventory recipient, such as a technician truck or warehouse. Each template can set Base, Min, and a default Vendor for each equipment item.

Equipment templates are separate from Packages. Packages are reusable groups of equipment for sales or installs. Equipment templates are inventory stocking baselines used by replenishment and recipient setup workflows.

If your company does not have Inventory+ enabled, SecurityTrax hides Equipment Templates from Admin and blocks direct access to the page.

  • From Admin, click Equipment Templates.
  • Or go directly to https://portal.securitytrax.com/acme/admin/equipment-templates.

Edit form

Field Required? Type Validation Notes
Name Yes Text Required; up to 55 characters. The template label users see.
Active No Checkbox None. Inactive templates stay saved but are not treated as active options.

After you save a new template, SecurityTrax opens the edit page for that template and shows the equipment detail grid.

Each row is one active equipment item from the equipment catalog.

Field Required? Type Validation Notes
Base No Number Whole number, minimum 0. The target quantity the recipient should have.
Min No Number Whole number, minimum 0. The threshold that helps replenishment decide when the recipient is short.
Vendor No Select Must be an active equipment vendor, or blank. The preferred vendor for replenishing that equipment item.

Blank rows are ignored. If you clear Base, Min, and Vendor for an item that already had template settings, SecurityTrax removes that item from the template when you save.
