Action Items

The Action Items page is a company setup checklist. It shows configuration tasks that still need attention, such as reviewing default settings or finishing setup for integrations and catalogs.

Most companies will only see this page during setup or while reviewing a new feature. If you do not see Action Items, there may be nothing for you to do, or your account may not have access to this setup checklist.

Where to find it

Action items live in the user menu — the circular avatar in the top-right corner of every page. When there are open items, a small amber dot appears on your avatar so you can spot them at a glance.

Click your avatar to open the menu. Just below Administration you'll see a single Action items entry with a count of how many are still open — click it to open the full checklist page.

If all available tasks are complete, the amber dot and the menu entry disappear. The checklist page can still be opened directly if you have the link.

Reading the checklist

Each row explains:

Area What it means
Task name The setup or review item that needs attention.
Labels Optional tags, such as High Priority, that help call out work to handle first.
Description Why the item matters or what part of SecurityTrax it affects.
Marks done when The condition SecurityTrax checks before marking the task complete.
Action button Opens the page where the task can be completed, when your account has permission to open it.

The top of the page shows overall progress. Sections group related work, such as organization setup, content management, equipment, and system integrations. Use the label filter to focus the list on labeled work, such as high-priority setup items, without changing those sections.

Completing items

Many items complete automatically after the related setup is saved. For example, a catalog-related task may complete once at least one active record exists in that catalog.

Some items are manual review tasks. For those, review the linked page, then use the checklist control to mark the item reviewed.

Items that are not marked high priority can be skipped when they do not apply to your company. You will be asked to confirm before a step is skipped. High-priority items stay on the list until their setup or review condition is complete.

If an item opens an admin page, finish the setup there and return to Action Items. The checklist refreshes its status when the page is opened again.

Why the count can briefly lag

The action-items count is cached briefly so normal page loads stay fast. It refreshes automatically at least once per hour and also updates when checklist actions are completed. Some setup changes may clear the count immediately, so the next page load recalculates it.
