Appointment Detail Types

Requires. Appointment Detail Type - Full Control. This single permission controls both viewing and making changes.

Appointment Detail Types are the sub-types users pick when scheduling a tech or sales appointment. Each type is tied to an appointment category (such as Install or Service Call), carries a tag color that appears on the calendar, and can set a default time block so the scheduler knows how long to reserve.

Getting here

  • From Admin → Content Management, click Appointment Detail Types.
  • Or go directly to https://portal.securitytrax.com/acme/admin/service-detail-types.

Edit form

Heads up. Schedule Type, Appointment Type, and Name are set at creation and cannot be changed afterward. To use different values, create a new detail type and deactivate the old one.

Schedule Type Yes Select Tech Scheduler / Sales Scheduler Determines which scheduler this type appears in. Locked after creation.
Appointment Type Yes Select Active tech service types (Tech Scheduler) or active sales visit types (Sales Scheduler) The parent appointment category this sub-type belongs to. Locked after creation.
Name Yes Text 1–100 chars The label users see when scheduling. Locked after creation.
Tag Color No Select Preset color list or custom hex value Shown as a colored swatch next to the name in the list and on the calendar. Choose Custom Color to enter any hex value.
Default Duration No Select 30-minute increments, 30 min–13.5 hours When set, the scheduler uses this as the time block length for appointments of this type. Leave blank to inherit the appointment type's own default.
Default No Checkbox When checked, this type is pre-selected when a user schedules a new appointment of the matching Schedule Type and Appointment Type.
Active No Checkbox Inactive types remain on historical appointments but no longer appear for new ones.

Filtering the list

Use the filter button to narrow the list by Name or Active status.
